The accuracy warning value sets the allowable horizontal accuracy for field operations. When the receiver determines the position accuracy meets the set value, the solution will be considered converged and the Mode or GGA Quality will be 5.
Note:
Higher values will allow the receiver to converge faster, but will allow more horizontal position error. Smaller values will provide more accurate position, but will take longer to converge and are more likely to lose a converged status during field operations.
Setting Recommendations
Default The default accuracy warning setting is approximately 8 inches [20 cm].
Minimum It is not recommended to go below 2 inches [5 cm].
Maximum The accuracy warning can be set to a maximum amount of 20 inches [51 cm]. In most cases, it would not be necessary or desirable to set this value too high. The only time it is recommended to set the accuracy warning to the maximum amount would be for first-time activations so it will converge without issues. Set the value to the recommended minimum after it converges for the first time and the GS subscription broadcast has been detected by the receiver.
